JUNE 2017


National Electric Vehicle Association submitted a proposal of the Initiative to the Government of the Republic of Serbia for forming the Work Group for development and use of electric vehicles and construction of accompanying infrastructure. In the first stage the Work Group shall have the task that within 90 days deliver to the Government of the Republic of Serbia for consideration the following:

a) Six-month Action Plan for introducing the measures and creating necessary administrative and technical preconditions for realization of the initiative, with special focus on removing the administrative barriers and creating stimulative conditions for purchase, use and development of e-vehicles and construction of initial infrastructure of EV charging stations as well as on the analysis of the potential of local companies’ participation in the development of accompanying e-infrastructure, vehicles, batteries and supercapacitors;

b) Draft of long-term activities necessary for sustainability and further development of the initiative;

c) The proposal of construction schedule for the first 20 public EV charging stations with the focus on their installation in the territory of Belgrade as a pilot project for EV charging stations network construction in the entire territory of the Republic of Serbia.

Compared to the rest of EU countries Serbia is significantly delayed in regulating this area.As we believe it represents the future of road traffic and how we will commute,this Initiative is but the first step that National Electric Vehicle Association(NEVA)is taking within its scope of activities.

National Electric Vehicle Association(NEVA) will keep the public informed of this status,following steps and government response to this Initiative in our regular reports.

BG – Zero Emission

The National Electric Vehicle Association (NEVA) has initiated a Project under working title “BG – Zero Emission”.
Currently we are running autorisation of Project phases.The comletion of Phase One – Project Planing – is shudled for 20.12.2017.
Project Phase One will include :

  1. Establish Project goals
  2. Defined Project scope
  3. Project action plan outline.

In coordination with our partners and NEVA stakeholders the dinamics and completion of entire Project will be defined.According to the planned phases of the Project NEVA Executive Board will regulary and transparently update the public on the Project status and its progress.


APRIL 2017

Project “Green Oases of Serbia”

National Electric Vehicle Association(NEVA) has kicked off an initiative of selecting 9 cultural/tourist centers of Serbia that will be future participants of the Project “Green Oases of Serbia(cultural/tourist centers of Serbia free off exhaust and noise 2016/2020).

The core of the Project revolves around promoting initiatives for establishing sustainable quality of air and reducing motor vehicle induced noise.

The selection of nominated participating cities/municipalities as well as Project partners will be concluded by 30.12.2017. and the accompanying feasibility study until 30.05.2018. The construction of one electric charging facility within the selected wining cities is intended to start in 2018 and would support further expansion and implementation of the Project.

Follow the dynamics of execution of each of the Project phases, National Electric Vehicles Association(NEVA’s) Steering committee will regularly inform the public of the status and next steps of the Project.



Conceptual design of the autonomous e-vehicle charging station

Development of e-vehicle charging infrastructure is one of the strategic prerequisites for their greater and faster implementation in the Republic of Serbia. The object of this conceptual design is the erection of an autonomous e-vehicle charging station, based on renewable source of energy.

The conceptual design would be based on the use of solar and wind energy as auxiliary sources of energy. Various biomass products (bio-Diesel, bio-alcohol and biomass), which can also be used to supply e-vehicles, will be considered as additional carriers of energy supplying e-vehicles, furthermore, water electrolysis would be performed in optimized electrolyzers in order to obtain (store) hydrogen for supplying e-vehicles with fuel by galvanic coupling. Biofuel reforming reaction will also be treated in order to obtain hydrogen. For the accumulation of energy from both sources the redox flow batteries will be considered.

Feasibility analysis of certain units, efficiency degree of certain processes shall be made for this conceptual design and a proposal will be made for the capacity and energy balance for small, medium and large autonomous stations.
